Another Addition to the Ever Changing Breakfast Nook

I think I have a fascination with benches lately, with my Barn wood Bench and my Barn wood Stool.

Since I made my Kitchen Table, we only had 4 chairs with the table.  Well, JP has come home from college on winter break, and had a Christmas Party with all his friends.  We had over 18 "young adults".  They were everywhere.

Then we hosted my husbands side of the family for Christmas Day lunch.  The house was full again.  So I had an idea on how to make more room at the new table.

Here is the top of the bench.  I used left over barn wood for this project.

I also used left over 4x4's for the legs.  I also cut them at a 10 degree angle on the top and bottom.

I then attached the 4x4's to some leftover barn wood at the top of the legs.  Then turn the legs up on the top boards and attached them with screws.

I then painted the legs and used a mixture of vegetable oil and vinegar on the bench seat.  Then sealed with poly.

Here is the new bench.  I love it.  Too bad, I did not have time before Christmas to make bench.  Oh well.
